Job Description

As the QC Sampling Team Lead – Raw Materials, you will oversee a team responsible for sampling and inspecting raw materials used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You’ll ensure compliance with GMP standards, coordinate daily operations, and support team development while maintaining a strong presence in cleanroom environments.

Key Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to: 

Laboratory Duties

Perform sampling of solid and liquid raw materials per GMP protocolsInspect containers and document findings using LIMSCalibrate instruments and maintain lab suppliesGown into ISO 8+ cleanroom environments using sterile techniqueSchedule and execute sampling tasks weekly, monthly, and quarterlyMaintain accurate documentation and participate in training activities

Leadership Duties

Supervise and support team performance and productivityCoordinate scheduling, task allocation, and onboarding of new hiresLead training efforts and perform peer reviews of dataInvestigate deviations and implement corrective actionsCommunicate updates and findings in team meetingsAssist with equipment maintenance and administrative communications

Cleanroom Requirements

No cosmetics, nail polish, or jewelry permittedHair and facial hair must be neatly containedPhysical demands include lifting 25+ lbs, standing/walking for extended periods

Qualifications

Preferred

1+ years of cGMP experienceExperience with LIMSStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to multitask and work independently in a client-facing environment

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience1+ years of leadership experienceAuthorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Details: 

This is a full-time, onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm), with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Rensselaer, New York, are strongly encouraged to apply.
