Job Description

In this position, you will help to adapt the standard methods and procedures, helping identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations. This role is onsite in Sanford, NC.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage own time and prioritize own workflow.Responsible for maintaining laboratory compliance.Perform routine and non-routine environmental monitoring (total particulates, air viable, and surface viables), utility monitoring and compressed gas testing of GMP manufacturing clean rooms and lab areas.Interpret and evaluate data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} impact and recommends appropriate corrective action where necessary.Initiate and participate in EM excursion investigations and assess any potential impact on product qualityAssist in trending and EM data and generate quarterly and yearly reportsPerform bioburden, endotoxin, sterility testing, Micro ID, TOC and ConductivityAid as necessary to maintain the function of the QC lab to include ordering materials, inventory, general housekeeping and other duties as necessaryOperate in high regard, integrity and efficiency to generate accurate and quality results with a customer focused mind-setUtilize laboratory instruments and equipment in accordance to established procedures to include but not limited to air samplers, particle counters, endotoxin readers, microscopes, etc.

Qualifications

BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree2 Years experience in a QC Microbiology Laboratory, specifically with microbial identification and endotoxin testingSuccessful hands-on analytical testing experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} environmentTechnical Skills- Knowledge of laboratory equipment, testing and techniqueBasic math skills and computer skills, such as data entry, along with a high level of attention to detailStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task across projects and activitiesMust be self-motivated and work with minimal directionAbility to read, communicate understanding and follow written procedures

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrate proficiency in computerized systems, such as Laboratory Information Management System
