Job Description:
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician leads and performs tests to ensure the quality and performance of Nobel Biocare products.
In your role as a laboratory technician, you will support the site by critically testing and examining product properties, making pass/fail determinations regarding the quality of our products. The Quality Control Laboratory Technician plays a limited role in ensuring Nobel Biocare's compliance with FDA QSR regulations and ISO 13485 standards. This is achieved through Receiving Inspection and Final Release processes related to specific tasks that do not require extensive quality system training. Based on business needs, you may also perform the functions of a quality control inspector.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs test on process samples, intermediates and finished goods according to established procedure.Produce quality work with speed and accuracy.Analysis of lab results, compiles the final report and makes recommendations.Final release/rejection of products according to established procedures.Leads and documents NCRs, SCARs, PMS and CAPAs.Incoming inspection of material according to established procedures.Supporting projects.General duties as defined by QC Supervisor or designee.Utilizes a variety of test instruments to complete visual, dimensional, mechanical and functional inspections of a variety of parts, assemblies or materials.Follows established procedures to ensure compliance with procedures, visual aids, purchased specifications, inspection forms, work orders or engineering drawings.Performs first article inspections on incoming product.Provide succinct and accurate problem identification; primarily on product, but may include process, IT request, etc.Document and control nonconforming product, assisting with investigation and rework throughput.Maintains timely training records in accordance with site training database.Builds constructive and effective relationships throughout the organization and acts as a team player.Documents results of all inspections in accordance with current procedures.Use computers to perform job duties and record information according to established procedures.Performs additional tasks or supports other functions of the process as requested by supervisor or manager.Schedules will be based and set to the needs of the business and business needsJob Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Laboratory experienceQuality processesGED or equivalent education required. Laboratory certification is preferred.Basic knowledge and understanding of metrology.Critical Skills/technical know-how: (what the role holder must be able to do)Able to read and comprehend blueprints, policies and procedures in order to inspect products.Basic computer skills, including basic use of Microsoft Office suite software and SAP, or equivalent software.Prior work experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, 821).Experienced understanding and working with a device history record.Experienced Identification, Handling, Documenting, Controlling of Nonconforming product.Investigation and Audit experience e.g., root cause analysis preferred.CRITICAL SKILLS

Relevant experience working in an analytic/testing environment.Must be able to communicate well, both written and verbal, in English as individual will be reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and drawings.Additionally, inspector will occasionally be asked to assist in drafting reports and business correspondence for review and use by supervisor and/or Nobel Biocare Management, and effectively present information and respond to questions from management, peers, suppliers and other colleagues.While performing duties of this job, inspector may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Inspector will work both individually and in teams in various areas e.g., machine shop, clean room and/or office environment.#LI-TP1
