Quality Control Chemist Excellent Opportunity for Growth | Competitive Pay | Offers Benefits Job Description The Quality Control Chemist will perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products in accordance with written procedures. This role ensures the use of current standard operating and test procedures, maintains accurate documentation in compliance with GMP requirements, and develops a strong understanding of various testing methodologies. The chemist will ensure product quality specifications and customer standards are met, perform batch adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot out-of-specification situations. Additionally, the chemist will utilize data to focus on improvement efforts to meet customer requirements and regulatory regulations. Responsibilities + Perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products. + Ensure current standard operating and test procedures are utilized. + Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with GMP requirements. + Develop understanding of various testing methodologies and potential errors. + Ensure product quality specifications and customer standards are met. + Perform batch adjustments as needed in batch making procedures. + Troubleshoot out-of-specification situations. + Maintain compliance with current regulatory expectations and practices. + Accurately record and document all data and pertinent information. + Document out-of-specification situations, determine root cause, and suggest possible solutions. + Understand and maintain a culture of lean action within the department. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 4-year degree in chemistry required. + 0-2 years of QC industry experience + Experience with pH meter, Brookfield spindle viscometer, and analytical balances. + Experience with solution preparation, wet chemistry titrations, HPLC, GC, and UV is a plus.
