**QC Chemist (2nd Shift)** Quality Control York County, SC, US Pay Rate Low: 22 | Pay Rate High: 26 + Added - 12/08/2025 Apply for Job We’re looking for a detail-oriented **Quality Control Chemist** to join our client's team on a direct hire basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for testing raw materials and finished products, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met. This is a great opportunity for someone with a science background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. **Shift:** 2nd shift- 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (Monday to Friday) **Location:** Bowling Green, SC Area **Rate:** $22-$26/hr **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform quality testing on lab samples using established procedures and precise methodologies + Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as Particle Size Analyzer, FTIR, Viscometer, Karl Fischer, and Microscope + Record, analyze, and communicate test results to the production team for timely decision-making + Recommend formula adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency + Manage product labeling through WERCS and maintain accurate batch records in SAP + Prepare and package customer samples for shipment + Keep laboratory equipment calibrated, clean, and organized + Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, compliant work environment + Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards **Qualifications:** + AS or BS Degree in Chemistry or a related field + 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred + Basic understanding of chemistry and lab techniques + Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) + Experience with SAP is a plus _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
