About the Role
We're building a new kind of music discovery experience — fast, fun, personalized, and social. As a QA Engineer, you’ll be an early member of the QA team, working closely with our Senior QA Engineer and development team to ensure our app is performant, stable, and delightful to use. You’ll contribute to testing the mobile app, backend services, and data systems behind a first-of-its-kind product that blends audio processing, personalized recommendations, and immersive UI. What You Will Do
Partner with the Senior QA Engineer to implement a testing program from the ground up.Design, write, and maintain automated and manual tests across mobile (Flutter), backend, and data layers.Build and run tests for functional correctness, performance, UI/UX quality, and localization/internationalization.Execute and expand coverage of integration and end-to-end test suites.Contribute to CI/CD testing automation to ensure reliable, fast feedback loops.Log, investigate, and track bugs, and assist in triaging and resolving quality issues.Collaborate with Flutter developers, backend engineers, machine learning engineers, product managers and designers to deeply understand user flows and technical architecture.Help define and evolve QA processes, documentation, and best practices.Participate in code and test reviews to maintain high standards of quality.What You Need to Be Successful
3–6 years of experience in software QA, ideally with consumer-facing mobile apps.Experience testing mobile apps built with Flutter or other cross-platform frameworks.Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies, including regression, exploratory, and performance testing.Hands-on experience with test frameworks like flutter test, integration test, Appium, or similar tools.Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.Understanding of backend systems, APIs, and how to test across layers of a distributed application.Passion for finding edge cases and preventing bugs before they reach users.Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.Bonus Points if You Have
Experience testing localized applications and supporting internationalization testing.Familiarity with audio/video or streaming applications.Exposure to social platforms or recommendation engines.A love for music and an interest in shaping how people discover and engage with it.What Makes You Eligible
Position is 100% RemoteYou must be available for meetings and team interaction during typical continental US business hours.Be willing to travel up to 5%, domestically and internationally. Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.Salary Ranges:
