We are seeking a **Quality Lead** to support our production processes by maintaining a strong presence on the production floor, supervising QA staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards. This role plays a key part in upholding regulatory compliance and continuous improvement within our quality assurance operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Supervise QA personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
+ Collaborate with Managers/Supervisors to ensure proper shift scheduling and staffing.
+ Assess shift requirements and direct QA resources as needed.
+ Monitor and report shift quality concerns to Quality Control Management.
+ Conduct staff training on relevant policies, programs, and procedures.
+ Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
+ Conduct pre-operational inspections and allergen swabs.
+ Carry out daily GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) audits in production and warehouse areas.
+ Collect and log production and processing samples.
+ Ensure non-conforming products are placed on hold and properly documented.
+ Assist in the investigation of customer complaints.
+ Support the QC Manager/Supervisor with special projects.
+ Ensure compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local OSHA regulations.
+ Ensure adherence to all applicable food safety, food defense, and quality regulations.
+ Identify and report any safety or compliance issues to facility management.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
+ Minimum **3 years of experience** in a food manufacturing environment.
+ At least **1 year in a leadership role** within Quality Control in the food industry.
+ In-depth knowledge of food safety programs and compliance (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, Allergen Programs).
+ Understanding of labeling regulations including FDA, COOL, Prop 65, nutritional warnings, and health claims.
+ Experience using **ESHA Genesis** for NLEA labeling and nutritional data development.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
