**Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate** **Location: South San Francisco** **Shift: Monday to Friday Shift** **4 PM - 12:30 AM or 8 PM - 4:30 AM** **Pay: $22/hr** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Associate who is eager to grow within the field and contribute to our team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in various quality assurance activities and ensures compliance with food safety and governmental regulations. **Responsibilities** + Comply with and actively participate in the company's GMPs and Food Safety Programs, including SOPs, SSOPs, and other policies. + Inspect day-to-day production areas to ensure compliance with GMP and governmental regulatory requirements. + Enforce quality and food safety standards on raw materials through inspection and analysis. + Assist in maintaining records for HACCP, SQF, and FSMA, including daily and monthly GMP inspections and label verification. + Collaborate closely with the sanitation department to ensure the effectiveness of documentation and implemented sanitation programs. + Ensure all received, manufactured, and packaged products meet quality and food safety specifications. + Assist in training and presenting programs to maintain ongoing training of all plant employees in policies and programs such as GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and Allergen Policy. + Perform checks and document results for scales, thermometers, freezer and cooler temperatures, machines, and cleaning areas. + Conduct pre-operational and operational checks for start-ups and production throughout the day. + Support the QA team in performing environmental monitoring and sending samples to the lab for testing. + Complete special projects as assigned by the FSQA Supervisor or QA Manager. + Inform management of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and take actions to improve the situation. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience in production, food production, and quality assurance. + Strong attention to detail and data entry skills. + Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred. + Basic computer skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the operations team. + Organized and able to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs. **Why Work Here?** This role offers the potential to become a permanent employee with opportunities for upward mobility. The bakery operates with over 80 employees, and the role requires flexibility in shift hours, including start times as early as 6 AM and as late as 4:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
