QA Specialist
Job Description Overview: Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develop and define major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determines requisite quality control resources for an actual task order. Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assist in the evaluation. Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for OpenText Content Server, AppWorks, and related modules. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing to ensure quality and compliance of OpenText solutions. • Validate system configurations, workflows, metadata, permissions, and document lifecycle processes. • Test data migration and ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of content moved into OpenText repositories. • Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, or equivalent. • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product specialists to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage. • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and support troubleshooting efforts. • Create and maintain detailed testing documentation, including test evidence, traceability matrices, and status reports. • Support automation of test cases where applicable to improve efficiency and consistency. • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives) to align testing with project timelines. Skills and Requirements • Associates degree or equivalent experience • 2–4+ years of QA/testing experience with LCNC platforms - automated and manual testing experience - ability to earn a public trust clearance Qualifications • Associates degree or equivalent experience • 2–4+ years of QA/testing experience with LCNC platforms • Understanding of document management systems, workflows, and metadata structures. • Experience testing integrations between OpenText and enterprise applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, SAP). • Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira) • Strong attention to detail and ability to create thorough documentation. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work across technical and business teams. Preferred • Experience with OpenText AppWorks and Extended ECM (xECM). • Exposure to automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, UFT, or similar). • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies. • Experience in federal government or other highly regulated environments.
