Job Title: QA/QC Program Engineer V
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced M&E QA/QC Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring quality program metrics, analyzing trends, and working with applicable parties to correct any issues. This role will also involve assisting with the development of on-site partner construction QA and QC teams, as well as providing training to personnel regarding awareness and quality procedures. The ideal candidate is self-driven, possesses the ability to have difficult conversations on any misalignments that may arise, and is focused on leading and coaching a team.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance.Analyze metrics to understand the root cause of any disconcerting trends and work with applicable parties to correct those items.Assist with the development of on-site partner construction QA and QC teams.Assist with the development of QA/QC processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness and support cross-functional communications.Interface between design construction and facility operations, as well as general contractors.Provide training to personnel regarding awareness and quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QA/QC process.Coordinate quality issues between design construction and facility operations teams.Audit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors as necessary to assess conformance with QA/QC procedures.Examine all submittals, particularly mechanical engineering and plumbing MEP submittals for quality assurance, and provide comments to ensure compliance.Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.Develop, review, and approve levels 1 to 5 related to product and process quality, such as construction quality procedures (CQPs), checklists, technical deliverables, and test procedures and plans.Recommend and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for project non-conformances and quality issues in coordination with project and quality management, design engineering, construction, and other functional disciplines.Review commissioning agent level 4 and 5 commissioning scripts and provide feedback.Assist construction manager in reviewing turnover documentation packages for completeness and accuracy.Assist construction manager in reviewing level 3, 4, and 5 energization, start-up, and commissioning schedules and help ensure compliance.Help drive closure to open issues in BIM360 and escalate outstanding open items not getting closed out promptly.Attend factory witness tests (FWTs) as required for owner furnished contractor installed (OFCI) and contractor furnished contractor installed (CFCI) equipment and systems.Provide an onsite visual inspection and/or observation for construction quality control of OFCI and CFCI equipment and systems, documenting site acceptance inspection in BIM360.Assist in confirming that level 2 and level 3 testing documentation is properly completed and retained.Provide assistance in reviewing installed labeling, signage, and tagging.Assist in developing project-specific QA/QC dashboards, equipment tracking matrices, and semi-annual QA/QC deep dive presentations.Attend required construction meetings such as weekly project and monthly global QA/QC meetings, MEP/owner architect contractor (OAC) weekly meetings, and daily start-up and commissioning meetings.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for data centers or mission critical construction projects.Strong mechanical and electrical QA knowledge.Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.Experience in civil/structural building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and IC disciplines.Experience leading QA/QC and Cx programs.Experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.Experience in mission critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systems.Ability to apply experience to current data center challenges.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical areas of study.QA or PE certifications are highly valued.People-focused with strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work well with cross-functional partners.QA/QC commissioning skills.Vendor Management skills.Work Environment

The work environment involves 100% onsite engagement with various stakeholders including third-party vendors, design teams, and construction teams. The role requires managing the entire work scope, providing guidance on QA scope, risk management reporting, and attending construction meetings. The position supports a collaborative environment aimed at achieving high standards of quality and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
