Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a skilled QA/QC Manager to join its team at the Flynn Vancouver Manufacturing Shop located in Surrey, BC. This position reports to the Glazing Operations Manager and requires an independent and reliable person to perform the responsibilities outlined below. A day in the lifeManage the QA/QC Program of Flynn Manufacturing WestManage and coach a team of multi-departmental QC Inspectors Interact and develop relationships with other branch QA/QC Managers as well as local department managersInvestigate non-conformances found in the Shop and those reported from the FieldLead root cause analysis, recommend, and implement corrective actions to eliminate non-conformancesParticipate and represent the Shop in third-party inspections and auditsConduct off-site inspections and at suppliers’ facilities when warrantedEnsure that SOPs, inspection and measurement tools are utilized, maintained, and currentDevelop and implement SOPs to remove gaps in procedural compliancePerform other activities that may be assigned by your ManagerWhat We Are Seeking4+ years in a QC Management role within a manufacturing setting and backed by proven successes in managing a QA/QC department Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven, and high energy work environmentDisplays and practices a positive attitude, decisive, and leads by exampleNot afraid of implementing changes and challenging the status quoStrong communication and listening skills - verbal and written Experience in various building envelope applications such as unitized curtain wall, architectural panel systems, and prefabricated structures is an advantageAbove average knowledge in various Microsoft applications, knowledge of Autocad is an assetKnowledge and practice of Lean Manufacturing and Process Improvement toolsWhat We OfferRRSP matchingCompany eventsDental careExtended health careVision careOn-site parking$80,000 - $100,000 a year
