Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented QA/QC Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support program and site quality governance, with a strong emphasis on preventive quality and right-first-time delivery across construction activities.What You’ll Be DoingProactively identify quality risks prior to commencement of works.Review and challenge Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and inspection sequencing.Ensure inspection points, hold points, and witness points are risk-based, appropriate, and effective.Promote right-first-time execution through early engagement with Construction teams.Minimize rework, NCRs, and late corrective actions through early intervention.Implement and monitor the approved Project Quality Plan (PQP).Ensure consistent application of QA/QC procedures across contractors and site teams.Verify that quality controls are integrated into planning and execution activities.Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and contractual quality requirements.Spend approximately 40% of working time (~2 days per week) on site, increasing during, Mobilization and start-up, first-of-a-kind or critical activities, and high-risk or repeat NCR areasOversee and observe inspections performed by Construction engineers.Verify that WIRs, MIRs, and testing activities:Reference approved ITPsUse the latest approved design informationAre complete, accurate, and traceableReview inspection readiness prior to WIR submission to prevent avoidable rejections.Identify early indicators of workmanship or process deficiencies and drive preventive actions.Manage the NCR process, including validation and review of root cause analysis.Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.Identify trends and recurring issues and drive preventive measures.Ensure lessons learned are communicated to site teams.Coordinate closely with Construction Managers, site engineers, and Quality SMEs.Encourage early escalation of technical uncertainties prior to inspection.Act as an interface between site execution and quality governance.Support internal and third-party quality audits.Monitor the effectiveness of quality controls and recommend improvements.Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and trend analyses.Escalate systemic quality risks and repeated NCRs to the appropriate level.What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
10–12 years of QA/QC experience on construction or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspections, and testing.
ISO 9001 certification (required).
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent (preferred).
Proven experience with ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, and CAPA.
Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, BS, EN, ACI).
Experience working with consultants, contractors, and third-party inspectors.
