Job Description
Join our team as a Quality Assurance Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our frozen bread manufacturing process. This full-time position offers a chance to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Collect samples of products or packages and conduct tests according to established procedures.Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and document results accurately.Compile monthly line performance summaries using statistical software or Excel for customer reports.Assist in resolving non-conformance issues and quality problems at the plant.Participate in root cause analysis for customer complaints or food safety incidents.Monitor and recommend the disposition or return of non-conforming goods.Perform pre-operational and environmental swabbing and inspection of equipment and facility, reporting any issues promptly.Calibrate lab equipment prior to start-up and maintain it in a clean and orderly condition.Adhere to plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and report any potential negative effects on products or the company.Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Technical Manager.Essential Skills
Quality control and assurance expertise.Experience in food safety and FDA compliance.Proficiency in inspection and batch record management.Knowledge in chemistry, food manufacturing, or food quality.Ability to conduct quality assurance testing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
BA degree or Associates degree with 1 year of experience in manufacturing.Knowledge in manufacturing quality, food quality, or food science.Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.High level of accuracy in tasks.Honest, dependable, and accountable.Computer literacy is essential.Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting with temperature variations from baking areas to freezers. The facility has a garlic aroma and can occasionally be messy due to butter handling. The team is tight-knit, welcoming, and supportive.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
