This role is hybrid out of Vancouver, BC
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic QA Automation Engineer to join our Vancouver-based team. This hybrid role combines the benefits of team collaboration in the office with the flexibility of remote work, promoting a healthy work/life balance. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to automated test development for a proprietary data warehouse, the cornerstone of our cutting-edge data security platform.
Essential Functions:
Review requirements and specs, and communicate with stakeholders to have a deep understanding of the new and existing features; provide estimation for QA testing\tDesign detailed test plans for new features, with goal of full automation where possible\tInvestigate and report bugs in the tracking system\tReproduce and troubleshoot reported issues, verify bug fixes\tAnalyze current test coverage to assess for and mitigate gaps. Take ownership to design and implement a solution for improved coverage\tCollaborate with developers to provide ideas, feedback and suggestions for improvement\tProactively document and share knowledge about automation best practices, methods and tools\tCollaborate with the QA Team responsible for system-level testing\tGreat problem solving skills\tDetail oriented and meticulous\tTeam player, collaborate well with others\tOpen to feedback and willing to work on self improvement\tGreat written and verbal communication skillsMinimum Requirements
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent\t5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance\tExperience with automated testing\tExperience with Linux operating systems\tExperience with scripting languages (preferably Bash and Python)\tStrong understanding of QA methodologies, validation and verification processes\tExperience with GitHub ActionPreferred Qualifications
Knowledge of NoSQL database and/or data warehouse internals\tFamiliarity with containerization tools (e.g. Docker)\tExposure to cloud-based systems (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)\tExperience with Agile development methodologies#LI-Hybrid

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC) 88,613.33 - 154,981.67 CAD Annual
