Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team of test automation engineers.
Be a technical specialist on test automation tools and frameworks.
Drive the 'shift-left' adoption in QA.
Manage, mentor and give technical guidance to fellow USBC team members, focusing on knowledge sharing and technical training opportunities to foster continuous improvement and growth of the overall team.
Assist to meet fast cadence delivery deadlines for release of new product features and defect fixes.
Participate in and, over time, lead initiatives to develop internal tooling and standards. Use these to deliver efficiencies in how we support our customers.
Keep current on, and contribute to, Product Test Strategy.

Key SkillsExperience in developing large-scale test automation frameworks for complex enterprise software solutions
A self-motivated individual contributor and a great teammate with good communication and teamwork skills
Good skills in Java, JavaScript and other scripting languages
Expertise in REST API testing and automation of API testing
UI testing and automation
Strong experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Test Cafe & Karate
Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and technologies such as TeamCity & Docker
Ability to solve complex problems with practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions
Accept feedback with eagerness to learn more
Preferred SkillsExperience working with the test automation of Guidewire’s InsuranceSuite products, ideally with Guidewire Testing Framework (GTF) is highly desirable.
Additional language skills are highly valued for working in global teams.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in insurance or technology-related roles.
Expertise in leading implementation projects and providing innovative, customer-centric solutions.
Demonstrable experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Test Cafe & Karate.
Experience managing a pod of up to 8 test engineers of varying experience levels.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
