Job Title: ISO 27001 Auditor
Location: Mexico- Hybrid

About the Role:

Are you a skilled information security professional with a passion for high-quality auditing and a drive to make a global impact? At BSI, we’re seeking an ISO 27001 Auditor to join our growing team. In this dynamic and hybrid role, you’ll work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering audits that ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and promote continual improvement in information security management systems.

In your day to day, you will be responsible for:

Audit Delivery & Leadership: Conduct audits (on-site or remote) of ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), either as a Lead Auditor or team member.Lead audit teams when required, mentoring and coaching junior auditors for development and consistency.Client Engagement: Manage a portfolio of assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, timely audit scheduling, and positive client experiences.Communicate findings clearly and effectively, offering value-driven insights and recommendations.Audit Planning & Execution: Oversee the complete audit cycle: planning, coordination, travel logistics, execution, and reporting.Maintain audit documentation in BSI systems, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement—both in client organizations and internally at BSI.Support special projects and contribute to broader business goals as needed.Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training to maintain and expand auditing credentials.Progress from Assessor to Lead Assessor in alignment with a structured development plan.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Relevant Experience: Minimum of 4 years in IT roles, with at least 2 years specifically focused on information security.Experience with ISMS implementation, consulting, or auditing (internal or external) is highly desirable.Qualifications & Certifications: Associate’s degree or higher (or equivalent work experience).Preferred certifications: ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.Technical & Interpersonal Skills: Strong understanding of ISO management system auditing practices, especially ISO/IEC 27001.Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems.Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.Ability to influence, analyze complex systems, and adapt to evolving audit requirements.Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (required).Travel Requirements: This is a hybrid role with a strong focus on remote work; however, high availability for travel is essential.Travel may include air and ground transportation across domestic and international client locations.
