Job Description:As a Python Developer at Parsons, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend systems that support enterprise-level applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and DevOps professionals, to build robust APIs and backend services using modern frameworks. Your work will directly support mission-critical initiatives and contribute to the ongoing digital transformation of the organization.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and backend systems.Build and integrate RESTful APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.Collaborate with teams to define, design, and ship new features.Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices.Implement unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.Maintain and optimize existing codebases for performance and scalability.Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment and integration.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience Requirement

2 to 4 years of professional experience in Python development, preferably in a fast-paced or enterprise environment.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Python with strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Experience with one or more web frameworks: FastAPI, Django, Flask.Solid grasp of RESTful API design and implementation.Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.Experience with writing unit tests using testing frameworks like pytest or unittest.Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker).Experience with ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM is a plus.Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.Knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Celery is advantageous.Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) is a bonus.
