Reviews Team Georgia Marketplace carts for accurate budget codes, required documentation, and adherence to State of Georgia purchasing laws etc. 30% Orders supplies and equipment 10% Distributes purchase orders to end-users and asset management 2% Maintains log of purchase orders 3% Create training material for the Pcard and purchasing rules and regulations and conduct training on all campuses for college personnel 15% Directs the bid process for supplies and equipment 3% Maintain Business Office Pcard, make purchases and complete monthly reconciliation 20% Post Sole Source purchases to the Georgia Procurement Registry 2% Develop and maintain all Pcard procedures, manuals and forms in Knight Connect and assist the Purchasing Manager with Purchasing manual 5% Set up new accounts in Team Georgia Marketplace for new Faculty/Staff and maintain user’s profile 5% Other duties as assigned 5% Competencies · State Purchasing Guidelines knowledge · Oral and written Communication skills · College purchasing and budgeting knowledge · Decision making and problem-solving skills · Interpersonal Relations skills · Delegation of responsibility and authority skills · Governmental Accounting knowledge · General knowledge of the college and its programs · Leadership and Guidance · Ethical Practice Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible. Travel Travel to other campus locations and for training is required on occasion. Some overnight travel may be required for meetings and training. Required Education and Experience · High school diploma or equivalent · Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience · Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate o Georgia Certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Recertification is required every 5 years. · The Purchasing Technician will be required to have a P-card (must be able to pass the credit check associated with state P-Card Purchasing requirements). Preferred Education and Experience · Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Accounting. · State of Georgia purchasing experience. · Experience with TeamWorks Financials.
