· Comfortable with being the first point of contact for suppliers with their physical goods and products.
What does the ROLE entail?
· Receiving all products, packages and deliveries for all Hotel departments and guest deliveries;
· Performing quality checks and recording of temperatures of food deliveries;
· Following up with suppliers regarding incorrect deliveries;
· Organizing deliveries and storing items in the appropriate areas while rotating stock to ensure freshness;
· Processing receipts in our procurement system;
· Processing invoices for delivered good by matching with receiving records, preparing for further handling by shared services center;
· Maintaining receiving areas and granting vendors access to necessary areas;
· Controlling cleanness in all storerooms cold storages, ensuring that hygiene standards are met (HACCP);
· Maintaining close communication with FB and Rooms divisions to ensure ordered items are received properly and in good condition;
· Maintaining package tracking system to ensure guest packages are handled properly;
· Take inventory on a monthly basis incl. spot checks on taken inventories of departments;
· Responsible for system maintenance of procurement system (e.g. updating prices, adding articles and maintaining order guides and catalogs);
· Developing relationship with vendors to ensure open lines of communication regarding ordering, purchasing, and invoicing;
· Sourcing of new articles and/or vendors on request of departments;
· Managing, training and further developing the purchasing trainee.

· At least 1 year of experience in a similar position, hotel experience preferred;
· Able to lift a moderate amount of weight, operate equipment trolleys;
· Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task;
· Good computer skills, ability to quickly learn computer programs, and proficiency in Excel;
· Experience with BirchStreet (or other procurement system) is highly preferred;
· Willing to take ownership of the work area and look for ways to improve operations;
· Strong English language skills are a must, and Dutch skills to communicate with suppliers are a strong plus;
· Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
