Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Purchasing Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Juárez, Mexico. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards for all purchased components while fostering strong partnerships with our supplier network. You will combine analytical expertise with innovative problem-solving to drive continuous improvement and support our organization's commitment to excellence.
Partner with the Purchasing department to identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers that align with our quality and performance standardsServe as a strong collaborative partner in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Preventive Quality Planning (PQP) initiatives to ensure project metrics are met and exceededTake ownership of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for all purchased components, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracyLead and implement comprehensive process audits at supplier facilities, tracking findings through closure and providing supportive guidance for continuous improvementSpearhead Supplier Quality Improvement Projects (SQIP), driving innovation and measurable results across the supplier baseMonitor and evaluate 8D problem-solving activities, providing training and mentorship to suppliers to enhance their quality management capabilitiesCollect, analyze, and manage failure costs and quality claims, working transparently with suppliers to resolve issues efficientlySupport third-party and customer audits, representing our organization with professionalism and thorough documentationCollaborate with other plant locations and departments to share best practices and support organizational goalsQualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ORMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (no minimum experience required)Required Skills & Knowledge:
Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, including plastic molding, tooling, or mechanical productionProficiency with quality management tools and methodologies: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSAStrong understanding of quality standards including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949Demonstrated expertise in 8D problem-solving methodology and root cause analysisSupplier relationship management and quality improvement project leadership experienceProcess audit experience and knowledge of audit protocolsProficiency in cost analysis, quality claim management, and documentationFluent English (written and verbal)Additional InformationGet to know more about how we work at Bosch and our new open positions on our social networks:
