Purchasing Specialist
This dynamic position plays a key role in supporting the healthcare organization’s non-clinical purchasing operations. Working under general supervision, the role focuses on optimizing procurement processes, managing the organization’s travel and P-Card programs, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and cost-efficiency standards. With a strong service orientation, the position acts as a trusted partner to stakeholders across departments, delivering strategic purchasing support that drives value and operational excellence.   Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40     Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred. Experience: Two years of experience with travel and procurement card programs required.  Purchasing procedure experience preferred as it relates to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have excellent communication, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to work independently with limited guidance, and to negotiate and work with professionals. Requires a working knowledge of contract analysis and reporting. Must have strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.  Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
