Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, including annual contracts. The successful candidate will develop policies and procedures for procuring goods and services, monitor market conditions affecting material pricing and availability, and track inventory levels and lead times.
ResponsibilitiesManage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, including annual contracts.Develop policies and procedures for the procurement of goods and services.Monitor market conditions that may affect material pricing and availability.Track inventory levels and lead times, identifying lead-time risks.Maintain a preferred supplier program in close cooperation with Quality Assurance.Hold monthly meetings to review potentially obsolete materials.Source back-up vendors to ensure a constant supply.Actively participate in the quarterly physical inventory process.Evaluate and monitor vendor performance.Take on project work that includes updating product specifications.Essential Skills3-5 years of purchasing experience.Strong negotiation skills, especially for new vendor onboarding.Experience with purchasing, procurement, and purchase orders.Knowledge of supply chain management.Direct and indirect buying experience.Proficiency in ERP and SAP systems.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and V/H lookups.Experience in vendor management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the food and beverage industry.Familiarity with MRP systems.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $40.00/hr.
