Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager
Job DescriptionThe Senior Procurement Manager will lead and oversee all purchasing and sourcing activities, developing and executing procurement strategies that support business objectives, production needs, and cost‑reduction initiatives. This role is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle, building strong supplier partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting new product development in a highly regulated aerospace and advanced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and sourcing plans aligned with business and production goals.Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and performance management.Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with strategic suppliers and partners.Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules.Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure purchased components meet technical specifications and quality standards.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts by working directly with Engineering to source materials and outside processing providers for new projects.Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and inflation to identify cost‑saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.Evaluate and manage supply chain risks, including supply disruptions and cost fluctuations.Ensure compliance with all applicable purchasing regulations and industry standards, including AS9100, ITAR, and customer‑specific requirements.Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics related to supplier performance, quality, cost savings, and purchasing effectiveness.Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain functions.Required Skills & ExpertiseAdvanced procurement and purchasing management experience.Strong supply chain and sourcing expertise within aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments.Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, including AS9100 and ITAR.Ability to manage complex supplier relationships and high‑value purchasing budgets.Qualifications10+ years of experience in a managerial procurement role within the aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industry.Strong working knowledge of aerospace regulatory requirements, including AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR, DFARS, EAR, and FAA/EASA.Experience managing multi‑million‑dollar procurement budgets and complex supply chains.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.ISM CPSM certification preferred.APICS / ASCM certification preferred.Additional RequirementsThis position involves access to projects and contracts subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In compliance with ITAR requirements, only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment.
Additional SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple, concurrent initiatives.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing / ERP systems.Strong understanding of purchasing regulations, policies, and best practices.Experience LevelExpert / Senior Level

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
