**Summary:** This position will lead the overall operations of the Purchasing, Receiving and Storeroom Department to ensure that all departments of the resort have adequate supplies to perform their duties in an efficient manner. Formulates an approved vendors list encompassing all categories. Purchases and approves payment of items following the procedures that have been established.
**Essential Job Functions:** Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Responsible for the receiving, documenting and storage process and issues procedures outlined in the policies and procedures manuals, ensuring product pricing, rotation, and inventory levels and storage area sanitation.
+ Responsible supervising to ensure that the Purchasing Department runs smoothly and efficiently.
+ Verify all incoming goods with delivery orders, invoices, food specifications, and purchase records to ensure accuracy in type, quantity, price, and quality of items.
+ Uphold safe, sanitary, and well-organized storage practices for all items.
+ Ensure all local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls and procedures and safeguards as they relate to the Purchasing Department are in compliance.
+ Implement inventory control measures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
+ Contribute to monthly inventory processes for the hotel.
+ Ensures compliance with all brand established systems and procedures
+ Ensures accurate administration of all invoices and adheres to proper bookkeeping procedures
+ Ensures inspection of all deliveries to verify accuracy and quality of product
+ Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
+ Implements and enforces all control procedures for property goods entering through the purchasing/receiving areas
+ Uses computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information
+ Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines
+ Ensures profits and losses are documented accurately
+ Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued
+ Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
+ Provides information to other departments, staff, and vendors by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
+ Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
**Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or minimum 5 years experience in a related field.
+ Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
+ Must have working knowledge of computers. Proficient in Microsoft Office systems, including Word, Excel, and procurement software and systems.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach, pull, and push with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and may occasionally be required to climb or balance. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
