Job Description
The Purchasing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting business and production requirements by monitoring open purchase orders and ensuring timely deliveries. This position involves frequent communication with suppliers, maintaining updates in ERP/MRP systems, and collaborating with various internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Responsibilities
Support the monitoring of open purchase orders to align with business and production requirements.Perform routine follow-ups with suppliers on order acknowledgements, delivery dates, and shipment status.Maintain accurate and timely updates within ERP/MRP systems for data integrity and decision-making.Communicate delivery updates, potential delays, or issues to Buyers and internal stakeholders.Assist with expediting high-priority orders under guidance from Supply Chain team members.Help resolve basic shipping discrepancies, shortages, or documentation issues with suppliers.Prepare and distribute status reports and expediting summaries as requested.Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, and Quality teams.Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance communication, tracking, or processes.Essential Skills
Experience in purchasing, data entry, and administrative support.Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards and SAP.Strong communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Desire to learn, take ownership, and grow within a results-driven organization.Experience in customer service, vendor management, and logistics.Exposure to purchasing administration and order entry.APPLY NOW!!!
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Ocala, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
