Purchasing Coordinator
Job Title: Purchasing CoordinatorJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and expediting purchased materials to ensure their timely delivery, supporting production schedules. You will act as a key point of contact between suppliers and internal teams to resolve any delivery risks, shortages, and receiving issues. Responsibilities + Confirm purchase orders and delivery dates with suppliers. + Expedite past-due or high-priority materials. + Track shipments and resolve receiving discrepancies. + Communicate material status to Purchasing, Planning, and Manufacturing departments. + Maintain accurate order and delivery records. + Support improvement and data accuracy initiatives. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. + Experience communicating with suppliers or vendors. + Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Prior experience in purchasing, shipping, or receiving is preferred. + Skills in data entry, order entry, and customer service. + Experience in vendor management and administrative support. + Familiarity with Outlook and general procurement processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
