Purchasing Coordinator

\n\t\t\t\t\t

Manage purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of materials\nSupport Purchasing Manager in creating a strategy for the department\nNegotiate price, terms and conditions to achieve lowest total cost of ownership\nAnalyze market trends to identify sourcing opportunities\nCollaborate with supply chain management to optimize inventory levels\nMaintain accurate records of purchases and supplier information\nDevelop strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and reliability\nMonitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues such as delivery expedites, invoicing problems, or non-conforming materials\nPerform spend/supply base analysis and diagnostics to assist with purchasing strategies\nPerform materials planning to assure continuity of material supply to support manufacturing schedules and working capital requirements.\nExperience in the areas of supplier selection and development to qualify new sources of supply and enhance those supplier relationships.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Two years' experience in purchasing (manufacturing preferred)\nStrong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers\nProficiency in ERP systems\nExcellent analytical skills for market analysis\nAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nUnderstanding and use of parts drawings and material types

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
