Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Greenfield, Indiana
Employment Type: Contract, Onsite, 8AM- 5PM
Overview:
Our client is seeking two detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinators to support their procurement operations during a critical ERP system implementation. While the daily volume of purchase orders is relatively low (approximately 20 per day), each order can contain up to 100–150 line items, requiring
meticulous manual entry. These roles are essential to maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment with a significant backlog of purchase orders.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Accurately enter high-volume purchase orders into the system.
+ Adhere to established standard work procedures.
+ Use Microsoft Excel and Outlook for data entry and communication.
+ Communicate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers via phone and email.
+ Ensure data accuracy and maintain attention to detail.
+ Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
+ Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a self-driven attitude.
Required Skills:
+ Experience with purchase orders, requisitions, and inventory purchasing.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
+ Familiarity with ERP systems (any platform).
+ Ability to hold stakeholders accountable to processes and timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Intermediate-level experience in purchasing or supply chain roles.
+ Understanding of inventory management principles.
+ Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Work Environment & Additional Info:
+ Casual dress code with closed-toe shoes required.
+ Steel-toe shoes must be available for occasional access to the manufacturing floor.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
