Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesPosition Summary: The Purchasing Controller provides projections of purchasing pricing evolution and perform regular controlling routine activities (month end, forecasting and budgeting). He or she models pricing evolution, forecast, follow and monitor deliverables with the purchasing team, and guides staff towards the execution of the best financial performance. He or She participates to Purchasing Strategy as a business partner of the Purchasing team.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the elaboration of purchasing budget and strategic plan as well as forecasts for one or several entities
• Coordinate data consolidation and reporting ensuring reliability, consistency and transparency
• Contribute to the analysis of the variances and propose appropriate corrective actions
• Participate in the profitability and cash improvement actions
• Develop, execute and control internal procedures including spending authorizations in respect of corporate policies
• Review financial impact of current and future purchasing action plans
• Tracks and explains evolutions of the profitability of business from original business plan submitted
• The supply base
• Educates, coaches, and manages new team members
• Responsibility to communicate with internal purchasing and assist in managing
• Ensuring alignment between purchasing reporting and FCS master data thru comparison of Std reference between purchasing files and FCS every month
• Communicates with purchasing, sales, accounting and finance to ensure proper information flow
• Ensures retros are run regularly and taken timely
• Implement systems and procedures to improve accuracy and response time of monthly reporting and annual budgeting
• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

Knowledge / Skills:
• Requires high level of expertise using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of finance modules of SAP strongly recommended; Key User experience preferred
• Experience using reporting software such as Magnitude or Hyperion a plus
Education / Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance
• 5-10 years professional experience in finance
• Experience in manufacturing/plant controlling is preferred
• International/multicultural experience in another International Automotive Tier 1 preferred
