Just look up. **Are you ready to go beyond?** **What You Will Do:** Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations (DARO) is looking for a Purchasing Associate to support our aero-engine component refurbishment facility in Grand Prairie, TX The Purchasing Associate position will support the DARO team onsite. The candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of the Pratt & Whitney business and supply chain requirements and play a key role in interfacing with the internal and external customers to lead, coordinate, and implement procurement activities. This individual plays a key role in the organization as the focal point responsible for all procurement aspects associated with assigned suppliers. + Responsible for purchase order placement, delivery assurance and other procurement-related activities. + Build and maintain relationships with select suppliers that support our facility. + Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders with supply base. + Ensures the product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. + Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFQs, negotiations, cost accountability, program execution. + Prepare purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly. + Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction. + Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. + Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met. + Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. + And other related duties as needed per direction from leadership + Approaches work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both the team and customer objectives + This position is for 1st shift (5x8). **Qualifications You Must Have:** + HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience purchasing/buying experience, preferably in a manufacturing production environment. **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Associate degree/bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or related field + Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including inventory management, procurement, manufacturing resources planning (MRP), demand planning, and capacity management to get the right materials to the right place, at the right time. + Understanding of CORE operating system and process improvement tools (e.g. standard work, value stream management, passport process, quality clinic process charts, relentless root cause analysis, 5S). + Understanding of manufacturing methods, special processes, blueprints and quality requirements. + Apply insights to supply chain functions, including but not limited to strategic sourcing, new product introduction, continuous improvement, quality management and issue resolution, etc. **What We Offer:** + Medical, dental, vision benefits + Life, short term disability, long term disability benefits + Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, holidays + 401-K with company match + Other innovative benefits including deals and discounts **Learn More and Apply Now!** **What is my role type?** In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
