This role involves supporting the Office Manager with various administrative, supply chain, and operational tasks. The Purchasing Assistant will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth functioning of procurement activities and maintaining inventory levels.
Responsibilities
+ Obtain quotes from suppliers.
+ Process purchase orders and ensure accuracy.
+ Search and update product and inventory levels.
+ Issue pricing and manage contracts.
+ Provide administrative support in supply chain operations.
+ Manage vendor relationships and procurement activities.
+ Ensure inventory control and order entry accuracy.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with Quickbooks.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
+ Interest in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
+ Strong attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
+ Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
+ Understanding of ERP systems.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Proficiency in Outlook for communication.
Work Environment
The position provides an opportunity to work with a growing family-owned company. The company specializes in custom design of fixtures and parts, and also offers services for repair, retrofit, and maintenance of welding equipment. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
