Job Title: Purchasing AssistantJob Description

This interim role is designed to support the Purchasing department by assisting with clerical and administrative tasks while the team seeks to backfill the Purchasing Manager position. The role involves a variety of purchasing and scheduling duties to ensure smooth operational workflow.

ResponsibilitiesPerform material take-offs for the construction of modular units.Purchase materials for all ongoing projects.Schedule materials ahead of production requirements.Order daily shortages of materials.Purchase standard materials for cycle counts.Maintain purchasing project files.Advise the Purchasing Manager of any price changes.Assist in inventory entry and price out inventory write-ins.Provide the Production Department and other departments with accurate information regarding special situations affecting material availability.Offer the Sales and Engineering Departments technical information on special materials.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience with purchase orders and administrative support, particularly in the construction or manufacturing industry.Knowledge of purchase orders.ERP experience is a plus, especially with Sage.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with purchasing or administrative duties from the construction or manufacturing industry.ERP experience is beneficial, particularly with Sage.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and flexibility to a 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift is available. The dress code is business casual, allowing jeans but requiring closed-toe shoes. The team and environment are laid-back and casual, with opportunities to work closely alongside another Purchasing Agent and some mobility around the facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
