The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for quoting and purchasing electronic components, materials, and services. While supplier sourcing is not required, the role involves negotiating with suppliers to ensure the highest quality and cost-effectiveness of the products.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies for electronic components and materials.Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure alignment with company goals.Evaluate and select products based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.Maintain professional relationships with end customers.Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value.Address and resolve quality or delivery issues with suppliers.Essential SkillsProficient in Microsoft Excel.Experience in purchase orders and administrative tasks related to purchasing or procurement roles (e.g., Procurement Admin, Purchasing Admin, Purchasing Agent).Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.Additional Skills & QualificationsERP experience is a plus.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an electronics manufacturing facility, characterized by a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented atmosphere. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The dress code is business casual. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
