Purchase Order Coordinator
Job Title: Purchase Order CoordinatorJob Description The Purchase Order Coordinator is responsible for managing and processing purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services. This role acts as a liaison between internal IT departments and external vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and optimizing purchasing efficiency. Responsibilities + Manage and process purchase orders efficiently. + Act as a liaison between internal IT departments and external vendors. + Ensure compliance with company policies in procurement processes. + Optimize purchasing efficiency for goods and services. Essential Skills + Order entry and data entry proficiency. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. + 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or accounts payable roles. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred. + Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus. + Knowledge of procurement best practices. + Experience working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams. Work Environment This role is almost 100% project-based, meaning all workload for this person is heavily deadline-driven. Working hours will need to be established before hire. The position offers remote flexibility for the right candidate. Initially, this was slated as a 4-6 month contract, but there is potential for a longer-term opportunity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Salisbury, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
