Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :

Strategic Procurement & Planning

Define and execute procurement strategies aligned with SI business goals, customer demands, and project delivery timelines.

Ensure competitive sourcing across categories: IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking), cloud subscriptions, software licenses, cybersecurity solutions, and managed services.

Anticipate technology trends and align procurement pipeline with upcoming bids, RFPs, and GTM opportunities.

Vendor & OEM Management

Develop and manage strategic relationships with OEMs (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, HPE, Palo Alto, VMware, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and distributors.

Negotiate favorable pricing, volume discounts, rebates, and partnership incentives to maximize margins.

Ensure vendor certifications and compliance requirements are met for SI business eligibility.

Project & Bid Support

Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Delivery teams to provide accurate BOM costing and vendor quotes for RFPs and tenders.

Ensure price protection and back-to-back terms with suppliers to mitigate financial risk on customer projects.

Standardize rate cards and support commercial negotiations with customers.

Operational Excellence

Manage end-to-end procurement process, ensuring on-time availability of equipment and licenses for project delivery.

Implement governance, approval workflows, and audit-ready procurement documentation.

Drive automation and use of procurement tools/ERP to track orders, contracts, and vendor performance.

Financial & Compliance Management

Monitor spend, rebates, credits, and supplier financing models to improve cash flow and profitability.

Conduct TCO analysis and optimize procurement for project profitability.

Ensure compliance with legal, tax, data protection, and import/export regulations.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Build and lead a high-performing IT procurement team with category specialization.

Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Project Delivery teams.

Train procurement staff on OEM partnership programs, rebate structures, and negotiation tactics.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: Engineer / Masters with sourcing / supply chain as part of academics

 

Experience : 12–18 years of experience in procurement within IT/Technology/System Integrator industry.

 

Mandatory/requires Skills :

Deep knowledge of IT products and services in SI ecosystem: servers, storage, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, SaaS, and licensing models.

Strong negotiation skills with OEMs, distributors, and channel partners.

Experience with large-scale deal structuring, framework agreements, and rebate/incentive management.

Ability to align procurement with customer bids, project timelines, and revenue recognition goals.

Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen.

Proven leadership and stakeholder management across functions.

Strong track record of handling multi-million-dollar IT procurement, large OEM/distributor relationships, and project-based procurement.
