**Job Title: Equipment Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Field Service Mechanic A you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and quality standards of our fleet. Your mechanical expertise will be essential in ensuring that all equipment remains in excellent working condition on customer jobsites. You will work independently, often dispatched to local jobsites, which allows you to foster positive relationships with customers and contribute to community growth and improvement.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and maintain a consistent schedule for performing preventative maintenance on all fleet equipment at long-term customer job sites.
+ Oversee and conduct oil changes, equipment lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and other assorted services.
+ Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure proper operating conditions at the job site.
+ Troubleshoot and repair fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and propane systems.
+ Recondition and replace assorted parts to return equipment to a safely functioning state.
+ Educate customers on the proper use of equipment to prevent future breakdowns.
+ Analyze problem areas for significant wear or tear and address them to ensure proper equipment usage until the next scheduled visit.
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines at active jobsites where repairs and maintenance are completed.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area on the jobsite.
+ Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
+ Follow all company procedures and protocols.
+ Build positive relationships with customers.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps, and assorted tools.
+ Understanding of detailed technical schematics, owner manuals, and product warning labels.
+ Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools for repairs and services.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Ability to be on call to support operational needs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
+ Customer service skills to naturally converse with jobsite foremen.
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing needs on an active jobsite.
+ Solid written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to perform basic computer operations such as opening and closing work orders.
+ Understanding of time management.
+ Proven computer skills for entering work orders.
+ Works and communicates effectively with all levels of the company.

**Work Environment**
Work primarily takes place in a mechanic shop, with occasional travel to service equipment on job sites using a company vehicle. The role involves working independently, often without direct supervision, and requires flexibility to adapt to varying jobsite conditions.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
