This role ensures the collection, analysis, and reporting of accurate data, while maintaining equipment and assisting in the training of new employees. The position requires effective communication with patients, physicians, and the care team. Key Responsibilities: + Perform pulmonary function tests on patients with and without bronchodilators. + Assemble and analyze test data, perform calculations, assess study quality, generate reports, and communicate results to referring physicians. + Conduct sweat testing using analytical bench skills. + Continuously assess patient performance and instrument function during testing. + Review test results for validity and quality, providing recommendations for further testing. + Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment according to standards. + Process and verify patient billing statistics, as needed. + Participate in the training and education of new employees and fellows. Minimum Qualifications: Education: + Bachelor’s Degree required. + Up to one year of basic technical training in pulmonary function testing preferred. Experience: + Analytical skills to resolve problems using basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles. + Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. + Ability to provide empathy and support in difficult interpersonal situations. Licensure / Certifications: + None specified; relevant certifications in pulmonary function testing may be preferred.
