Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary – Critical Care physician to join an established and collegial department. You may expect a busy practice in a physician-led organization, committed to both high quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine: Outpatient and inpatient responsibilities. Outpatient pulmonary medicine and sleep schedule includes Monday - Friday, day hours. Inpatient coverage is minimal at this time but may expand. The Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine practice provides consults and management for a wide variety of pulmonary and sleep related disorders. Pulmonary specific responsibilities include clinic-based visits, hospital consults and pulmonary procedures (diagnostic bronchoscopy and basic pleural procedures). Sleep specific responsibilities include management of sleep related breathing disorders and interpretation of overnight oximetry. If candidate has additional sleep training, other opportunities include polysomnogram interpretation, management of sleep behavior disorders, parasomnias, insomnia and restless legs.
Critical Care: Critical Care Medicine responsibilities include primary management of critically ill medical and surgical patients in a busy 12 bed ICU. Education opportunities also available with rotating Family Medicine Residents
License or Certification: Pulmonary and critical care credentials required. Strong preference for Sleep Medicine training. Flexibility in time allocation across patient care practices will be considered depending on interest and skill sets.
