About the role:

This is a 14 month parental cover role where we are seeking an enthusiastic PR Manager to join the Corporate Communications, PR and ESG team at Domain. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive forward our already award-winning public relations and press office function that is central to shaping Domain’s presence in property news across Australia. It is also a critical role leading our consumer PR as we are now part of the global CoStar Group 

Working as part of a fast-paced and collaborative in-house team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of our consumer/ residential property PR function. 

We need someone who has a deep understanding of the traditional and new media landscape, can maximise Domain's awesome media reputation, rich property insights, fabulous spokespeople and brand platform to generate outstanding results. You will be expected to:

Build strong internal relationships to identify and maximise PR opportunities.

See the 'big opportunities' and drive them through to delivery - this means rolling up your sleeves to nail key messages, write, pitch and liaise with the media.

Maintain and grow our fast-paced press office to deliver a high share-of-voice in the media, knowing when to say no to less strategic initiatives.

Be passionate about generating results that directly link to business objectives and be prepared to do what it takes to make it happen.

We highly value vision, strong organisation skills, and a structured approach to planning. This allows us to easily socialise plans, keep track of deliverables, and effectively measure our impact.

 

Who are you?

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced consumer environment. Your background will likely be in a dynamic B2C spaces i.e. Airlines / Retail or Technology Services. 

 Experience and Skills

Extensive experience in leading consumer PR teams within a medium to large organisation or at an agency.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Experience managing and working with media at regional and national levels, particularly on data-driven content and insights.

Proven track record in developing and implementing consumer and brand communication strategies.

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership with experience in team management and career development.

Proficient in handling fast-paced newsroom environments and working under pressure.

Skilled in editing and preparing communication materials for diverse audiences and purposes.

Ability to drive outcomes by effectively working with diverse stakeholders such as spokespeople and senior leaders.

Strong attention to detail.

A genuine passion for and interest in property, market research data, home and lifestyle trends, and the emotional aspects of the home journey.

Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, public relations or equivalent.

10+ years experience in Consumer PR, Corporate or Brand Communications

Proficiency in utilising media reporting software (Meltwater) and tools  to measure, evaluate and report on PR performance.
