What will I be doing?
As a Public Area Attendant, you ensure that all guest-facing and back-of-house areas remain clean, well-stocked, and hazard-free. You respond quickly to service calls, support events, and provide friendly assistance to guests, upholding Hilton’s commitment to hospitality and cleanliness standards.
Daily CleaningClean and sanitize restrooms (sinks, toilets/urinals, counters, partitions, mirrors, fixtures, floors) at defined intervals; replenish supplies.Back-of-house areas (service corridors, team member restrooms, locker rooms, heart-of-house stairwells).Dust high/low, wipe touchpoints, polish metals, clean glass, spot‑clean walls/doors.Vacuum and/or sweep/mop lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells; maintain ash urns/trash receptacles.Service pool decks/walkways and front drive as assigned (litter patrol, furniture wipe‑downs).Empty trash/recycling; transport to designated areas following separation guidelines.Service Requests & EventsRespond promptly to HotSOS/dispatch calls (spills, breakage, biohazard, restocks, and set‑ups).Support meeting/event area cleanliness before, during, and after functions.Emergency response (e.g., weather-related clean-up, unexpected spills in critical areas).Guest impact prioritization immediate response for guest safety and impression.Safety & EquipmentUse correct PPE, dilution systems, and color‑coded tools; reference SDS as needed.Proper chemical storageReporting hazard or maintenance issue proactivelyOperate vacuums, scrubbers, extractors, and pressure washers after training; report defects.Post wet‑floor signage and control areas during cleaning.Guest InteractionWelcome and assist guests with directions and information; escalate concerns to a Supervisor.Handle found items per lost‑and‑found procedures.
