Content developed through this position is an integral part of WYDOT's public outreach efforts, which include broadcast, online, and social media platforms. It also develops agency-specific internal training and information messaging and supports highway safety campaign efforts. Producing this content in-house allows for greater efficiency, flexibility, technical accuracy, and consistent messaging from WYDOT. It also saves the department money on contract professional services in the areas of training, public relations, and media. Cheyenne is a steadily growing community along the Front Range, but it is still true to the history of the Old West. The city offers nearby access to mountain biking, skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. Cheyenne is also home to the "Daddy of 'em All" – Cheyenne Frontier Days – held the last week of July. Wyoming is one of only nine states with no state income tax. Qualifications PREFERENCES: + Education and Experience in Video Production or related fields KNOWLEDGE: + Understanding of audio recording and mixing principles. + Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). + Familiarity with various video camera equipment and shooting techniques. + Knowledge of lighting setups and their impact on video quality. + Strong storytelling ability and an eye for visual composition. + Experience with pre-production tasks (e.g., scriptwriting, scheduling). + Post-production expertise, including color correction and sound editing. + Awareness of current video trends and best practices for different platforms. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. + Understanding of intellectual property and copyright laws related to video content.
