**The Job:**
The Accounts Payable Manager oversees and manages all activities in the accounts payable function including processes and systems to ensure the accurate booking and payment of invoices in the Brazil’s Team. Cultivates a positive team environment, fosters growth and development of the AP team, while also holding the team accountable for performance focusing on delivering results.
**Specific Responsibilities:**
+ Manage directly staff of and Indirect staff (Outsourced partner).
+ Accountable for overseeing all AP activities performed from the Shared Services center and by the external outsourced partner: Timely and accurate AP invoice processing and payment, reconciliation of vendor accounts, month end financials; payment of approved invoices and reporting; monitor and support in the resolution of past due payments issues, response to vendor’s and business inquiries related to Payment status, ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
+ Lead and support new M&A, ERP Conversions and integrations in assigned area of responsibilities. • Drive improvements to operational KPI’s / metrics for the payables function and team performance with required actions to drive results / commitments.
+ Deliver productivity improvements via the standardization, streamlining and automation of processes.
+ Enforce and enhance internal control’s structure and ensure compliance with SOX objectives, also provide support during audits as needed.
+ Ensure department systems and procedures are following compliance company policies.
+ Lead and support resolution of issues until resolution.
+ Interface, collaboration and support with other areas (BU’s, GSM, Outsourced partner, External vendors, etc.)
+ Supervise, mentor and coach AP Team Leads including training, reviews, evaluations, etc. and to the rest of the team member every time it is required.
+ Assist with other AP related responsibilities or special projects and duties as needed.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Continuous improvement mind-set needed to drive transformation and productivity.
• Team building and excellent inter-personal skills.
• Ability to appraise, reward and mentor employees
• Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere and serve as a role mode on all company policies
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and processes including experience in the Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) processes
• Proven high performer (e.g. strong time management skills, ability to multitask, highly organized)
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive the completion of critical tasks by balancing the workloads among team members and holding team members accountable for assigned work.
• Excellent problem identification, prioritization and remediation skills.
**Education/Experience:**
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field or the equivalent or the equivalent of experience in Accounts Payable and education required in a finance or accounting department.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in leadership positions, is a plus.
• Ability handling remote teams.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills (B2 or higher).
