Position Summary
School Based Therapeutic Support Coordinator/Psychotherapist oversees the School Based Therapeutic Support Program and provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families in schools within Hunterdon County. Coordinates SBTS Therapist’s activities, provides supervision, and continuously monitors program data and documentation.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Provides direct clinical services to program participants
Provides supervision to SBTS Therapists
Effectively interacts and collaborates with school personnel, HMC/HBH departments, community providers and families ensuring that all program commitments are met and reported as required
Adheres to documentation guidelines
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology or other mental health discipline
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
At least two years of experience with supportive counseling and case management services
Supervisory experience
Preferred:
4+ years’ experience providing supportive counseling and case management services to children and adolescents. 2-3 years’ supervisory experience
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Valid Driver’s license; Criminal history check and fingerprinting
LCSW or LPC
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Collaborative leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and written. Public speaking skills. Must be able to relate well to children and adolescents, family members, school personnel, service providers, and professionals both in a hospital setting and in community. Must have ability to facilitate groups, Knowledge of services provided to children and adolescents and their families in Hunterdon County. Ability to be creative in putting together recreational activities and use recreational equipment.
