Psychometrists administer neuropsychological and psychological tests as well as measures of delayed development, learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders, in a controlled environment under the direction of a neuropsychology or psychology consultant. These measures may involve up to six hours of assessment with patients in either a clinical or hospital setting. Psychometrists are responsible for obtaining accurate and reliable results while engaging the patient, recording behavioral observations and maintaining a standardized and valid testing environment. **Qualifications** Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree with a major in psychology or a related field. Prior experience in psychometry, education or psychology is desired. Must have demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills; as well as flexibility, willingness to participate and induce change to improve efficiency and patient care. Computer proficiency is necessary.
