**Job Description**
**The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai / Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital is seeking a Psychologist as Director of the Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic**
**Title:** Clinical Director (with Faculty Appointment through Icahn School of Medicine)
**Service:** Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic, Harlem Health Center
**Purpose of Position:**
The Clinical Director of the Harlem Health Center, Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic reports to the Division Director for Adult Ambulatory Psychiatry. The Clinical Director works closely with the Division Director, and they are jointly responsible for the overall clinical quality of care in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic (A-OPC) at the Harlem Health Center. They will be responsible for the content and delivery of high quality, innovative, and cost-effective care across these services. Responsibilities will include the planning and efficient delivery of psychological services including individual and group therapy in the clinics as well as proactively identifying and addressing systemic issues that may challenge access to and integration of services. They will strive towards minimizing healthcare disparities, actively engaging the community, and developing a culture and structure that ensures success in all domains of performance.
**Qualifications**
+ Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical, school, or counseling psychology
+ Completion of APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship
+ New York State psychology license
+ A minimum of three years of clinical practice
+ A year of leadership experience is preferred
+ Experience treating substance use disorders is preferred
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work as a member of a clinical team Excellent clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders
+ Experience in providing evidence-based treatment to a diverse population
+ Excellent writing skills and ability to manage responsibilities of documentation
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
+ Understanding of best practices in diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy
**Compensation range from Days 140k to 185k (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).**

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

**Responsibilities**
**Clinical:**
+ Provide direct clinical care (individual, family, collateral, group) to A-OPC patients for the equivalent of three days per week
+ Provide individual supervision to psychology trainees (externs, interns, fellows)
+ Expertise in specialized therapies, such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT is a plus.
**Administrative:**
+ Work in tandem with Division Director to ensure all services meet local, state and federal regulatory requirements (ie, OMH, TJC, CMS)
+ Facilitate and prioritize access to psychological therapy being delivered in the clinic (therapy case assignments, supervision when needed)
+ Ensure that the content of care rests soundly on evidence-based practices.
+ Supervise the work of social workers and psychologists including annual appraisals as/when designated by the Division Director
+ Represent the A-OPC at departmental meetings and system meetings when appropriate
+ Collaborate on UM/UR activities with Division Director
**Educational:**
+ Direct Adult Psychology Fellowship
+ Collaborate with the Psychology Training Director to ensure adequate supervision for all trainees in the clinic.
+ Collaborate with the Division Director and Psychology/Psychiatry Training Directors to develop educational activities in the clinics and ensure both quantity and quality, in keeping with the requirements of training
