**Job Description** The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (“MSAHC” or the “Center”) works to provide health care and wellness for young people by providing vital services - high quality, comprehensive, integrated and confidential - for all who come to the Center or school based health facilities, at no cost to them. The MSAHC advances adolescent and young adult health as a national imperative by serving as a leading center of clinical care, specialized training, innovative research and advocacy. You will provide individual, family, and group therapy services to adolescents, ages 10-26, at MSAHC. You will also have a role as a supervisor in the psychology-training program. This professional will be charged with ensuring that the above functions are developed, managed and delivered within a culture that is youth-centric, high quality, integrated and collaborative as well as in accordance with Mount Sinai’s policies and procedures, New York State regulations and guidelines, and funder expectations **Qualifications** + Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program in clinical, counseling, or combined school-clinical psychology program + New York State Licensure + Prior training and experience with evidenced-based treatments strongly preferred, particularly DBT, eating disorder treatment (CBT-E), transgender/LBGTQIA+ mental healthcare, prolonged exposure, and/or TF-CBT + Experience in psychological, psychodiagnostic, and neuropsychological assessment + Supervision experience (preferably with psychology interns, externs, and post-doctoral fellows) + Strong interpersonal skills at level necessary to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary health professionals, patients, patients’ families, and external organizations and agencies + Creativity, flexibility, and ability to take initiative; Interest in program development and increased collaboration within highly collaborative interdisciplinary medical setting + Prior experience working in child/adolescent and/or young adult setting + Bilingual (Spanish) preferred + Experience treating eating disorders and/or substance use disorders preferred Compensation range from 95K to 120K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits) **Salary Disclosure Information:** Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Direct Patient Care + Deliver evidence-based, therapeutic interventions. This includes preventive and risk- reduction models, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal therapy for adolescents (IPT-A). + Consult closely with medical providers, social workers and child and adolescent psychiatrists who are working with patients. The aim is to provide coordinated and holistic care. + Collaborate with external resources as appropriate + Develop therapeutic alliance. This includes with youth with history of trauma (e.g., sexual abuse, domestic violence, community violence, physical abuse and transgender/gender non-conforming youth. + Develop effective treatment plans. Treatment plans will be documented every 6 months in the electronic medical record. + Track treatment progress using validated instruments + Participate in an interdisciplinary effort that fosters a cohesive culture across staff with improved communication and accountability B. Compliance + Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies to include the NYS Office of Mental Health Standards of Care and Articles 31 and 28 regulations, DOH, MSHS and the MSAHC guaranteeing adherence to all aspects of clinical service delivery, reporting, incident review, and high-risk case management + Knowledge of and ability to implement state regulations related to child abuse, neglect, and other urgent care issues + Report child abuse, child neglect, and other urgent care issues as appropriate + Completion and Documentation of the following: psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, suicide risk assessments, individual and group therapy notes and case management or referral summaries in EPIC the day of encounter. + Adhere to caseload requirements + Attend Mental Health Meetings the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month 10-11a C.
