We collaborate closely with a broad range of clinical departments at the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) to provide integrated behavioral health care in primary and specialty medical settings. Our Department is committed to hiring a health or rehabilitation psychologist with competencies to provide interprofessional clinical services on the Consultation Liaison (CL) Service, University of Colorado Hospital (UCH). This position would provide CL services with a broad range of inpatient medical, surgical and ICU units. The psychologist in this role will also be a team member of the Department of Psychiatry's Adult Division Integrated Behavioral Health Service as well as the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Service at UCH. The selected candidate will become part of the Department of Psychiatry's growing and dynamic Adult Division. : + Conduct brief psychological screening, assessment, consultation of patients on intensive care units (ICU's), individual therapy with adult medical/surgical inpatients as well as evidenced-based treatment to patients and families coping with acute, chronic, and life-threatening illness. + Provide behavioral pain management interventions to patients on medical and surgical inpatient units; provide trauma-informed care to adults on medical/surgical units, and work with interprofessional teams to deliver trauma-informed interventions. + Consult and colla borate with interprofessional team members to develop intervention strategies related to physical and psychosocial challenges; Assist with patient, unit, and staff relational dynamics, and provide recommendations to help in cases with challenging patient interactions. + Provide trauma-informed care to adults on medical/surgical units; work with interprofessional teams to deliver trauma-informed interventions; cognitive and psychological screening/ testing when indicated. + Attend and participate in interprofessional Transplant selection committee meetings if covering this service.
