Key Responsibilities: + Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans. + Diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and others. + Provide brief supportive counseling. + Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, ensuring safe and effective use. + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, and medical staff, to provide comprehensive patient care. + Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. + Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations. + Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies. + Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities. Qualifications: + Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. + Completion of psychiatric residency program. + Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry. + Active medical license in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain one). + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Experience in clinical psychiatric practice, including inpatient, outpatient, and medical hospital settings. + Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. + Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. + Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Preferred Skills: + Subspecialty training or interest in areas such as consultation-liaison psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, addiction medicine, or forensic psychiatry. + Experience working with diverse populations. Knowledge of telepsychiatry practices. Salary Range USD $97.43 - USD $123.07 /Hr.
