We are seeking a mission-driven **Psychiatric Medical Director** to provide visionary leadership at our dedicated behavioral health and substance use facility in _Tucson, Arizona_ . This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for a physician who is committed to advancing integrated psychiatric care and supporting a high-performing clinical team.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Oversee clinical operations and ensure excellence in patient care
+ Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals
+ Ensure regulatory compliance, including Title 36, detox protocols, and involuntary holds
+ Participate in the development and oversight of individualized treatment plans
+ Provide direct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care
+ Participate in on-call coverage (phone-based only)
+ Foster a positive, team-oriented culture grounded in quality and compassion
+ Stay current through CME and professional development opportunities
**Qualifications**
+ MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
+ Active DEA license
+ Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical practice
+ 3+ years of leadership or medical director experience preferred
+ Strong understanding of Title 36, medical detox, and involuntary psychiatric care
+ Exceptional communication, team leadership, and decision-making skills
+ Passion for recovery-focused, trauma-informed care
**Compensation & Benefits**
+ Base Salary: $255,537 – $309,200/year (based on experience)
