Psychiatric Admissions RN for our Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This is a full-time position that will work 12-hour Night shifts.
The Inpatient Rehab Facility Admission Coordinator for the inpatient rehabilitation unit is an expert professional who is responsible for coordinating and facilitating access to inpatient rehabilitation services. This position is accountable for monitoring of appropriate utilization of unit services in accordance with current Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines and regulations.
Under the direction of the Medical Director the Admissions Coordinator evaluates internal and external referrals for admission per the criteria established by CMS and coordinates and facilitates admission including obtaining of insurance authorization and completing UR functions. Completes the IRF Admission Prescreen and validates it is cosigned timely by reviewing Physiatrist.
Coordinates all activities related to timely and accurate submission of the Inpatient Rehab Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) including but not limited to documentation, recording data entry, data transmission and analysis of the required items, CMG assignment, identification of allowable co-morbities (with medical coder), IRF-PAI assessment schedule, target LOS and expected reimbursement and cost for all Medicare patients.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Associates Degree and 5 years of experience.California Registered Nurse License upon hire.3 years of Inpatient rehabilitation experience.Preferred Qualifications:
